Creamy garlic shrimp cooked in a rich skillet sauce with butter, cream, and Parmesan for a fast and comforting meal.

Ingredients

1 pound large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side, then remove.
  • Sauté garlic for 30–45 seconds.
  • Add chicken broth and simmer briefly.
  • Stir in cream and cook until slightly thickened.
  • Add Parmesan, seasoning, and stir until smooth.
  • Return shrimp and coat in sauce.
  • Finish with lemon juice and parsley.

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp. Keep heat moderate when adding cream to prevent separation.
