Crack Burgers combine ground beef, cheddar cheese, bacon, and ranch seasoning into juicy patties packed with savory flavor.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef 80 percent lean
6 slices thick cut bacon cooked and chopped
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
1 large egg lightly beaten
4 hamburger buns toasted
Optional toppings lettuce tomato red onion pickles extra cheese
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain and cool, then chop finely.
In a large bowl combine ground beef, chopped bacon, shredded cheddar, ranch seasoning, and beaten egg. Mix gently until evenly combined.
Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about three quarters inch thick. Press a shallow indentation in the center of each.
Preheat grill or skillet over medium high heat and lightly oil surface.
Cook patties 4 to 5 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rest patties 5 minutes before serving.
Serve on toasted buns with desired toppings.
Do not overmix the beef to keep patties tender. Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly. Patties can be prepared in advance and refrigerated up to 24 hours.
