Flaky, buttery blueberry biscuits made with real fruit and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
¾ cup buttermilk
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
1½ tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet.

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

  • Cut in cold butter until crumbly.

  • Add buttermilk and mix gently.

  • Fold in blueberries.

  • Pat into 1-inch thick dough and cut into rounds.

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.

  • Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm biscuits.

Notes

Use cold ingredients for best results. Don’t overmix. Frozen berries should be unthawed.
