Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken features tender chicken thighs in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey garlic sauce. Easy, flavorful, and perfect over rice or noodles.
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon olive oil
Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Trim excess fat and pat chicken dry.
Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, vinegar, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Place chicken in slow cooker and pour sauce over it.
Cook on low 4–5 hours or high 2–3 hours until chicken reaches 165°F.
Mix cornstarch with water, stir into slow cooker, cook 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, serve over rice or noodles.
