Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a pan with parchment paper.
  • Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  • Spread half the dough in pan, layer with caramel, sprinkle sea salt.
  • Drop remaining dough on top, gently pressing to cover partially.
  • Bake 25–30 minutes until edges set and top is lightly golden.
  • Cool completely before cutting. Optional: drizzle extra caramel.
  • Store in airtight container up to 5 days or refrigerate longer.
