2–3 ripe bananas (about 1 cup mashed)
½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or sunflower)
¼ cup maple syrup or honey
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a square pan with parchment.
Mash bananas in a bowl until smooth.
Add nut butter and maple syrup. Mix well.
Stir in cocoa powder and baking soda.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Spread into the pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until set.
Cool before slicing into squares.
Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Freeze up to 2 months. Add-ins like nuts, cinnamon, or espresso powder can enhance the flavor.
