A soft coffee-flavored cake with milk and vanilla notes, inspired by café-style lattes.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup brewed coffee, cooled

  • ½ cup whole milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch round pan.

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.

  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.

  • Stir in cooled coffee.

  • Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.

  • Pour into pan and bake 35–40 minutes.

  • Cool before slicing or glazing.

Notes

Add a light coffee glaze or serve plain. Store wrapped at room temperature for up to three days.
