Flaky Irish Jambon Pastries with Ham and Cheese Filling are golden puff pastry squares filled with creamy cheddar and diced ham, baked until crisp and bubbling.

Ingredients

1 sheet all-butter puff pastry, chilled
3/4 cup cooked ham, finely diced
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 large egg, divided
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Pinch of nutmeg
Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet or prepare a muffin tin.

  • Roll puff pastry and cut into 4-inch squares.

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, half the beaten egg, mustard, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

  • Fold in diced ham.

  • Press pastry squares into muffin tin cavities.

  • Fill each with ham and cheese mixture.

  • Brush pastry edges with remaining beaten egg.

  • Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden and puffed.

  • Cool slightly before removing and serving.
