These soft, gooey cinnamon rolls are filled with buttery cinnamon sugar and topped with luscious cream cheese frosting. A bakery-style classic perfect for cozy mornings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup warm whole milk

  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast

  • 2 large eggs

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened

Filling:

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened

Frosting:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup butter, softened

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • Add eggs, butter, flour, and salt. Mix and knead for 8 minutes until smooth.

  • Let dough rise 1–1.5 hours in a warm place until doubled.

  • Mix filling ingredients. Roll dough into rectangle, spread filling, and roll tightly.

  • Slice into 12 rolls. Place in greased 9×13 pan. Let rise 30–45 minutes.

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes.

  • Beat frosting ingredients. Spread over warm rolls.

Notes

Make ahead by refrigerating overnight before final rise. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat gently.
