Lemon brownies are moist, chewy dessert bars bursting with bright citrus flavor. Topped with a tangy lemon glaze, they’re the perfect balance of sweet and tart in each bite.

For the Brownies:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 23 tbsp lemon juice

  • Lemon zest (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line or grease an 8×8″ pan.

  • Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.

  • Add eggs, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla. Mix well.

  • Stir in flour and salt just until combined.

  • Spread batter evenly in pan.

  • Bake 22–25 minutes, until set in center. Cool completely.

  • Mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Spread over cooled bars.

  • Let glaze set 15–20 mins before slicing.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice and zest for best flavor.

  • Chill before slicing for clean cuts.

  • Store at room temp for 2 days or refrigerate up to 5 days.
