Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Cookie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.
Make brownie layer: Mix melted butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla, then stir in cocoa, flour, and salt. Spread in pan.
Make cookie dough: Beat butter and sugars, add egg and vanilla, then flour, baking soda, salt. Fold in chips.
