Soft yeast-raised cinnamon rolls filled with spiced sugar and finished with a smooth creamy glaze.
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
⅓ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
½ cup brown sugar
1 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp butter, softened
Glaze:
4 oz cream cheese or butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2–3 tbsp milk
Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a little sugar.
Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
Let dough rise until doubled.
Roll out, spread butter, add cinnamon sugar.
Roll, slice, and arrange in baking dish.
Let rise again, then bake at 350°F for 22–28 minutes.
Mix glaze and spread over warm rolls.
Store covered at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerate for longer storage.
