Soft yeast-raised cinnamon rolls filled with spiced sugar and finished with a smooth creamy glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast

  • 1 cup warm milk

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • ⅓ cup butter, melted

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 4 tbsp butter, softened

Glaze:

  • 4 oz cream cheese or butter, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 23 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a little sugar.

  • Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.

  • Let dough rise until doubled.

  • Roll out, spread butter, add cinnamon sugar.

  • Roll, slice, and arrange in baking dish.

  • Let rise again, then bake at 350°F for 22–28 minutes.

  • Mix glaze and spread over warm rolls.

Notes

Store covered at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerate for longer storage.
