Crisp, golden churro donut bites made with a quick batter, fried to perfection, and rolled in cinnamon sugar for an easy, irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup whole milk
2 tbsp melted unsalted butter
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Vegetable oil, for frying

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Mix cinnamon sugar and set aside.

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  • In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.

  • Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined.

  • Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F in a deep pot.

  • Drop batter by tablespoon into oil, fry 2–3 minutes until golden.

  • Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  • Roll warm bites in cinnamon sugar to coat.

Notes

Fry in small batches to maintain oil temp. Serve fresh with optional chocolate or caramel dip.
