Soft, chewy, and full of holiday flavor, these cranberry orange cookies combine buttery cookie dough with tart cranberries and bright orange zest — perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk

  • 1 tbsp fresh orange juice

  • 1 tbsp orange zest

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup dried cranberries

  • Optional: ½ cup white chocolate chips or chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.

  • Beat in egg, yolk, orange juice, zest, and vanilla.

  • Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into wet ingredients.

  • Fold in cranberries (and optional chips/nuts).

  • Chill dough 1 hour.

  • Scoop dough balls onto parchment-lined tray.

  • Bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes.

  • Cool 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to rack.

Notes

  • Chill dough for thicker cookies.

  • Add extra zest for stronger orange flavor.

  • Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
