Quick and easy fudgy brownies made with cocoa powder and real butter for a rich, chewy texture and deep chocolate flavor. Perfect for any occasion.

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.

  • Melt butter and mix in sugars until smooth.

  • Whisk in eggs and vanilla until thick and glossy.

  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.

  • Fold in chocolate chips and/or nuts if using.

  • Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.

  • Bake 20–25 minutes, until edges are set and center is moist.

  • Cool before slicing.

Notes

Use warm butter to help dissolve sugar and create a shiny top.
Do not overbake for the fudgiest texture.
