Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix melted butter and sugar, then add cocoa powder.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  • Fold in flour and salt, then spread batter in pan.
  • Cream softened butter with sugars for cookie layer.
  • Add egg and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Drop cookie dough over brownie batter and spread gently.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are set.
  • Cool completely before slicing.
