These Easy Turtle Bars layer a buttery crust with gooey caramel, chocolate chips, and toasted pecans—just like your favorite turtle candies, but in bar form.

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

Topping:

  • 11 oz soft caramels (about 35), unwrapped

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment.

  • Mix flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press into pan. Bake 15–18 mins.

  • Melt caramels and cream until smooth. Pour over hot crust.

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over caramel.

  • Cool completely or refrigerate until set. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

Use parchment for easy removal. Store up to 5 days or freeze for longer. Add sea salt for a gourmet twist.
