These Easy Turtle Bars layer a buttery crust with gooey caramel, chocolate chips, and toasted pecans—just like your favorite turtle candies, but in bar form.
Crust:
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
Topping:
11 oz soft caramels (about 35), unwrapped
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment.
Mix flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press into pan. Bake 15–18 mins.
Melt caramels and cream until smooth. Pour over hot crust.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over caramel.
Cool completely or refrigerate until set. Slice into bars and serve.
Use parchment for easy removal. Store up to 5 days or freeze for longer. Add sea salt for a gourmet twist.
